Another example of the problems of "Zero Tolerance": Arizona teen strip-searched on suspicion of having ibuprofen! Not even a serious drug, but ibuprofen, for crying out loud! As far as I know, that can't possibly be abused. At any rate, even if she was suspected of having something more serious, that would still be excessive.

This woman is arguing that slavery is not wrong because the Bible doesn't condemn it.

Yes, it's true that the Bible doesn't condemn slavery, but that's rather an argument against the Bible, isn't it? At least, against taking everything in the Bible at face value.

To make matters worse, look at her profile picture! She's Black and she's making pro-slavery arguments! This isn't some white-supremecist neo-nazi skinhead, this is a Black woman!

It's completely mind-boggling. I wish I could believe that this is a satire, but if it is, she's extraordinarily consistent. I'm afraid that she's genuine.

The basic story is that the guy who recorded this took a trip to Canada. Before he left, he checked with Verizon about how much it would cost him to use his cellphone for internet access during his trip, and was told that it cost 0.002 cents per kilobyte. But when the bill arrived, they charged him 0.002 dollars per kilobyte - 100 times the quoted rate. He then embarked on an odyssey of stupidity, trying to get someone at Verizon to acknowledge the fact that there is a difference between 0.002 dollars, and 0.002 cents.

Lawsuit Against Transgendered Councilwoman in Georgia Thrown Out

A judge dismissed lawsuit Monday that had claimed a transgender city councilwoman tried to fool voters by running as a female, and the candidate was set to seek re-election Tuesday.

I'm glad the judge rejected it, but that it was filed in the first place ... Grah!
